WCHA Fan of the Week, Presented by UNRL

From Alaska to Alabama and all points in-between, the WCHA and our member institutions have college hockey's best and most passionate fans. Following each week of league competition this season, we are proud and honored to recognize the WCHA Fan of the Week, Presented by UNRL!

Let's catch up with our honorees from the past two weeks – all Bowling Green fans who have traveled to watch the Falcons in league road clashes:

Week 7: Heather Bazar and her husband, Doug, both Bowling Green State University alumni who now live in Michigan and watched the Falcons get five points on the road at Ferris State.

I love Falcons hockey because:
I love Falcon hockey because of its rich traditions, and because it allows me to keep in touch with my fellow Falcons. Just stepping inside of the ice arena you can feel the energy from the fans, students, and the band. I love that we make the opposing team uncomfortable in the building.

My favorite hockey memory is:
Watching BG hang a touchdown on Ohio State in Columbus.

What I'm most looking forward to about the rest of the 2018-19 season is:
Watching BG make a run at the MacNaughton cup and NCAA tournament berth.

Describe WCHA hockey in one word or phrase:
Unfalconbelievable.

Week 6: Katherine Eboch, who received her MBA from BGSU in 2017 and now lives in Tennessee, and her brother Max, who watched the Falcons earn a road sweep at Alabama Huntsville.

Are you BGSU alumni, or have any other connection to the school?
I received my MBA from BGSU in May 2017. Our mom, Karen Eboch, graduated with her MBA and MOD from BGSU in the 90s and has been teaching in BGSU's College of Business ever since. So BGSU spirit runs in the family.

I love Falcons hockey because:
BG hockey games mean a chance to gather with my friends and family to watch the Falcons win!

My favorite hockey memory is:
Tie between dropping the ceremonial puck before one of the hockey games or riding the Zamboni between periods! Both were fun fan experiences that I won through different Slater Family Ice Arena giveaways.

What I'm most looking forward to about the rest of the 2018-19 season is:
Hopefully a Falcon bid into the NCAA tournament this year! ***fingers crossed***

Describe WCHA hockey in one word or phrase:
Fun!
