WCHA Fan of the Week, Presented by UNRL

From Alaska to Alabama and all points in-between, the WCHA and our member institutions have college hockey's best and most passionate fans. Following each week of league competition this season, we are proud and honored to recognize the WCHA Fan of the Week, Presented by UNRL!

Let's catch up with this week's honoree – Minnesota native Max Jensen, brother of Alaska Anchorage equipment manager Shane, who made the trip to Bemidji last weekend and saw the Seawolves capture their first WCHA win of the season.

I love Seawolves hockey because:
They are a growing program with a new coach looking to get his system implemented. I think they have a lot of room to grow and will continue to improve over the next couple years. They have played a lot of competitive games this season and look to be improving as the season goes on.

My favorite hockey memory is:
Seeing the University of Minnesota win the 2002 National Championship at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul (on an epic, overtime goal by current Northern Michigan head coach Grant Potulny).

What I'm most looking forward to about the rest of the 2018-19 season is:
Hockey Day Minnesota, seeing the Minnesota teams in action on a big day across the state, and following the UAA home schedule.

Describe WCHA hockey in one word or phrase:
Competitive and exciting.
