WCHA Announces One-Game Suspension For Alaska Anchorage's Tanner Schachle
Freshman forward will miss Seawolves' next NCAA Division I game

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Jan. 5, 2019 – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Men's League office today announced a one-game suspension for Alaska Anchorage freshman forward Tanner Schachle, effective for the Seawolves' next NCAA Division I contest.

The suspension is a result of Schachle's five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for contact to the head, which occurred at the 6:58 mark of the third period in Alaska Anchorage's game of Friday, Jan. 4 at home against Lake Superior State. Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension.

Alaska Anchorage's next scheduled game is today, Saturday, Jan. 5, against Lake Superior State. Schachle would be eligible to return for the Seawolves' Friday, Jan. 11 contest at home against Northern Michigan.
