BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Feb. 23, 2019 – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Men's League office today announced a one-game suspension for Alaska junior forward Kyle Marino, effective for the Nanooks' next NCAA Division I contest.
The suspension is a result of Marino's actions in the Nanooks' game with Minnesota State on Friday, Feb. 22. Marino received a five-minute major for slashing at the conclusion of the first period and a five minute major for facemasking and a game misconduct at the 16:20 mark of the second period. Upon review, it was determined that his actions warranted the suspension.
Alaska's next scheduled game is tonight, Saturday, Feb. 23, at home against Minnesota State. Marino would be eligible to return for the Nanooks' Friday, March 1 contest at Alaska Anchorage
