WCHA Quarterfinal moved up three hours due to potential inclement weather

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – March 8, 2019 – The start time for the Saturday (March 9) Western Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Quarterfinal playoff game between Alabama Huntsville and Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn., has been moved up three hours to 4:07 p.m. CT due to forecasted heavy snowfall, high winds and icy conditions in southern Minnesota on Saturday evening.

WCHA President and Men's League Commissioner Bill Robertson announced the change to the start time Friday morning after consultation with the athletics directors and head coaches of the competing institutions.

Fans attending Saturday's game in Mankato are urged to exercise caution when traveling and to monitor local weather forecasts throughout the day.

The time change affects only Game 2 of the best-of-three series. The 7:07 p.m. CT start times for games one and three remain unchanged.
