WCHA Announces One-Game Suspension For Alaska Anchorage's Tanner Schachle
Freshman forward will miss Seawolves' next NCAA Division I game

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – March 2, 2019 – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Men's League office today announced a one-game suspension for Alaska Anchorage freshman forward Tanner Schachle, effective for the Seawolves' next NCAA Division I contest.

The suspension is a result of Schachle's five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for checking from behind, which occurred at the 0:36 mark of the third period in Alaska Anchorage's game of Friday, March 1 at home against Alaska. Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension.

Alaska Anchorage's next scheduled game is today, Saturday, March 2, against Alaska. Schachle would be eligible to return for the Seawolves' 2019-20 regular season opening game.
