BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Feb. 13, 2021 – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association Men's League office today announced a one-game suspension for Northern Michigan sophomore defenseman Hank Sorensen, effective for the Wildcats' next NCAA Division I contest.
The suspension is a result of Sorensen's five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for interference which occurred at the 4:12 mark of the second period in Northern Michigan's road contest of Friday, Feb. 12 at Bemidji State. Upon review, the infraction was deemed to warrant a suspension.
Northern Michigan's next scheduled game is tonight, Saturday, Feb. 13, at Bemidji State. Sorensen would be eligible to return for the Wildcats' Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 home contest with Alabama Huntsville.
