Field Is Set For 2021 WCHA Postseason
Two-week, eight-team WCHA Championship to be held March 12-20

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – March 7, 2021 –The seeds have been set for the 2021 Western Collegiate Hockey Association Postseason Tournament, which begins March 12-14 with the top four teams each hosting a best-of-three quarterfinal round series. From there, the four highest remaining seeds will advance to the 2021 WCHA Championship, which will be held at the highest remaining seed, March 19-20.

"We've reached the Championship portion of our season in a most challenging and unusual year," WCHA President and Men's League Commissioner Bill Robertson said. "I want to congratulate our student-athletes, coaches, staff and administrators at our member institutions for navigating the ever-changing landscape to put us in the position of being the only Division I hockey conference to complete its full league schedule this season. All of us at the Western Collegiate Hockey Association are excited to see our teams competing for the Jeff Sauer Championship Trophy over the next two weeks."

The winner of the 2021 WCHA Postseason Tournament receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship.

The WCHA will crown a playoff champion at the WCHA Postseason Tournament, presented by SPIRE Credit Union. The tournament winner will receive an automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship.

The winner of the 2021 WCHA Postseason tournament will once again receive the Jeff Sauer WCHA Championship Trophy, presented by Anderson's Pure Maple Syrup.
