Red Baron® WCHA
Offensive Player of the Week

Rylan Schwartz - Senior, Forward
Colorado College

photoVeteran Colorado College forward Rylan Schwartz, who contributed five scoring points and factored in on both game-winning goals as the host Tigers recorded back-to-back league victories over Bemidji State last weekend, is the Red Baron® WCHA Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 13.

A 5-10, 196-pound senior center from Wilcox, Sask., Schwartz scored two goals and set up three others, had five shots on goal and earned a +3 plus/minus rating in CC's sweep. Last Friday (Nov. 9) night, he notched a pair of goals, including the first goal of the game and the game-winner, and was named the First Star of the Game in the Tigers' 3-2 victory over the Beavers. John Faulkner - Senior, Goaltender
University of Nebraska Omaha

photoGoaltender John Faulkner of the University of Nebraska is the Red Baron® WCHA Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 13 after he backstopped the Mavericks to a two-game conference sweep over visiting Minnesota Duluth last weekend.

A 6-1, 207-pound senior from Sarnia, Ont., Faulkner was in nets for both UNO wins over No. 20 UMD on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11, yielding just three even-strength goals and helping the Mavericks extend their winning streak to four games. He stopped 30 shots while allowing just two power-play goals in Nebraska Omaha's 3-2 victory last Saturday before coming back with a season-high 31 saves on Sunday as the Mavericks forged the sweep with a 6-3 triumph.
