WCHA Announces One-Game Suspension For Ferris State's Andrew Mayer
Senior forward will miss Bulldogs' next NCAA Division I game

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Jan. 27, 2018 - The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Men's League office today announced a one-game suspension for Ferris State senior forward Andrew Mayer, effective for the Bulldogs' next NCAA Division I contest.

The suspension is a result of Mayer's five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for charging, which occurred at the 6:35 mark of the second period in Ferris State's game of Friday, Jan. 26 vs. Michigan Tech. Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension.

Ferris State's next scheduled game is tonight, Saturday, Jan. 27 vs. Michigan Tech. Mayer would be eligible to return for the Bulldogs' Friday, Feb. 2 contest at Alaska.
