SPIRE Credit Union to be supporting partner for 2018 WCHA Postseason Tournament; Minnesota-based institution also has naming rights for "WCHA Plays of the Week"

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Feb. 27, 2018 – Proudly joining two honored names of their respective industries, both operated out of the Twin Cities region, the Men's League of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) and SPIRE® Credit Union today announced a partnership for the remainder of the 2017-18 season.

As the WCHA Postseason Tournament returns to on-campus venues this March, SPIRE will be there as an official partner of both the 2018 WCHA Playoffs and the 2018 WCHA Championship. Additionally, fans can watch the League's top goals, plays and saves each Wednesday with the "WCHA Plays of the Week, Presented by SPIRE Credit Union."

"As we get ready for the best time of the year for hockey fans, we could not be more thrilled to join with SPIRE Credit Union for the 2018 WCHA Playoffs and Championship," said WCHA President and Men's League Commissioner Bill Robertson. "SPIRE is a company driven to do the right thing by its communities, which is what we are striving to accomplish by bringing playoff hockey directly to our fans. With Minnesota State and Bemidji State both set to host at least quarterfinal-round series, this partnership is a natural fit."

Commented Dan Stoltz, SPIRE President and CEO: "Locally owned and operated in the 'State of Hockey' since 1934, SPIRE is committed to improving lives in our communities. We are proud to partner with the well-respected WCHA."
