Freshman forward J.T. Brown had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs

HOUGHTON, Mich. - No. 5 Minnesota Duluth completed the season sweep of the Michigan Tech hockey team with a 3-0 WCHA win Saturday (Jan. 22) at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

Jack Connolly opened the scoring for the Bulldogs with a shot from the slot for his 12th goal of the season at 12:24 of the first period. J.T. Brown recorded the lone assist on the goal.

UMD's second goal of the game came at 14:25 of the first period and was also scored from the slot. Dan DeLisle netted his fourth goal of the season with assists from Drew Olson and Mike Seidel.

The Huskies held the Bulldogs scoreless in the second period before Brown recorded his second point of the game with a goal at 18:08 of the third period. Brown's shot deflected off a Tech defender on its way to the goal.

Josh Robinson made 30 saves for the Huskies and Aaron Crandall made 14 saves in his second shut out of the season for the Bulldogs.

Tech will host Wisconsin Jan. 28-29.
