HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- The third-ranked team in the country was too much for the University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team on Friday night, as St. Cloud State coasted to a convincing 10-0 victory at the Von Braun Center.

UAH (0-9-0) could not find the back of the net against the third-ranked defense in the country and surrendered a season-high 10 goals to the Huskies.

St. Cloud State (7-1-1) scored three goals in the first period, six in the second period one more in the third. The 10 goals scored by the Huskies was a season-high for them in 2013-14.

Huntsville-native Nic Dowd and Jonny Brodzinksi each scored a pair of goals, while five other players recorded a goal.

St. Cloud led in shots on goal by a final tally of 47-11 and saw four of their goals scored on the power play.

Carmine Guerriero gave up six goals and recorded 16 saves, while CJ Groh allowed four goals and picked up 21 saves.

The Chargers will look to bounce back tomorrow night at 7:07 p.m. when the two teams do battle once again. The first 1,000 fans in attendance at tomorrow's game will receive a free UAH Chargers thunderstick.
