SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State continued its Friday night unbeaten streak with a 4-3 victory over Bowling Green. The Lakers improved to 6-0-1 during Friday-night play. LSSU is 8-4-1 overall and 4-3-0 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

After a scoreless first period, senior forward Colin Campbell (5-5--10) opened the Lakers' scoring at 9:11 of the second period. His goal came on assists from Alex Globke (7-9--16) and Dan Radke (1-9--10). At 12:04, LSSU took a 2-0 lead with a goal from freshman forward Garret Clemment (2-5--7) with the assists going to Andrew Perrault (1-3--4) and Chris Ciotti (1-5--6).

Bowling Green (6-6-3 overall, 4-4-1 WCHA) cut in to 2-1 50 seconds later from Matt Pohlkamp. At 17:46 of the second Brent Tate tied the game 2-2 with a power-play goal. The Falcons' final goal, a power-play goal, was netted at 2:04 of the third period by Bryce Williamson.

Freshman forward Matt Johnson (3-1--4) tied the game for LSSU. Zach Loesch (0-2--2) drew the only assist.

Freshman forward Gus Correale (1-0--1) tallied the game-winning goal at 13:35 of the third from Stephen Perfetto (1-9--10) and Loesch, who set up the scoring opportunity by preventing a near turnover just inside the Lakers' blue line.

Between the pipes, senior Kevin Kapalka (5-3-1) made 30 saves for the Lakers, while Tommy Burke (4-1-3) tallied 20 saves for BGSU. The Lakers were held to 0-for-1 on the power-play while Bowling Green was 2-for-3.
