ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Lukas Craggs scored twice to lead No. 14 Bowling Green to a 5-2 win over Alaska Anchorage at Sullivan Arena Thursday.

After a scoreless first period both teams found the back of the net in the second.

Max Johnson gave the Falcons the lead with a power-play goal in the first minute of the second period.

Tomi Hiekkavirta tied the game with his first career goal for UAA at 9:16. He was assisted by Jarrett Brown and Jordan Xavier.

Bowling Green regained the lead with a goal by Tyler Spezia at 1:49 of the third.

The BGSU lead lasted for only 32 seconds thanks to a goal by Jarrett Brown. Jordan Xavier recorded his second assist of the game and Alex Jackstadt got his first.

Lukas Craggs tallied his first goal unassisted at 11:07, and Stephen Baylis pushed the Falcon lead to 4-2 at 14:38.

Craggs second goal was scored on an empty net in the final minute.

BGSU finished with a slim 30-28 edge in shots, and was 1-for-2 on the powerplay. UAA was scoreless on both powerplay chances.

Brody Claeys made 25 saves in net for UAA.

Alaska Anchorage will play its final home game of the season Friday against Bowling Green. The seven seniors on this years team will be honored before the game.
