Ryan Lasch was selected as the third Hobey Baker top 10 finalist from SCSU in 2007-08. He joins other SCSU Hobey finalists Mark Hartigan (2002) and Bobby Goepfert (2007). An All-America award winner in 2008, Lasch is the seventh player from SCSU to gain AHCA All-America honors. This also marks the eighth time that an SCSU has earned AHCA All-America notice.
Bob Motzko will begin his fourth season as head coach with the Huskies in 2008-09. The 2006 and 2007 WCHA Coach of the Year, Motzko has guided the Huskies to three consecutive WCHA Final Five appearances, and two NCAA Division I tournament appearances in 2007 and 2008.
