COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Junior left wing Brett Sterling (Pasadena, CA) of the Colorado College hockey team has added yet another honor to his long list of accolades for the 2004-05 season.

Sterling, who led the nation with 34 goals and finished second to linemate Marty Sertich (Roseville, MN) in overall scoring with 63 points, was named Thursday to the EPSN The Magazine Academic All-America University Division Men's At-Large All-District VII Team.

By virtue of his selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), Sterling now advances to the ballot for national Academic All-America recognition.

One of four Tigers to earn first-team All-America honors in 2004-05, as well as a top-three finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, Sterling is a two-time member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's All-Academic Team. He won CC's annual Paul Markovich Award last season as the team's top student-athlete. He is majoring in economics.
