DENVER, CO The back-to-back NCAA National Champion University of Denver hockey team has signed forward Patrick Mullen (Pittsburgh, Pa.) to a National Letter of Intent; it was announced today by National Coach of the Year George Gwozdecky. Mullen becomes the seventh and final member of Denver¹s highly-touted recruiting class of 2009.

Mullen tallied 37 points on 14 goals and 23 assists last season for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United State Hockey League. He played in all 60 games and led the Stampede with a +11 plus/minus rating, while committing only four penalties for eight minutes. Mullen joins Chris Butler (St. Louis, Mo./Sioux City Musketeers), T.J. Fast (Calgary, Alberta/Camrose Kodiaks), Brian Gifford (Moorhead, Minn./Indiana Ice), Julian Marcuzzi (North Vancouver, British Columbia/Salmon Arm Silverbacks), J.P.
