MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's hockey program is already setting records before the 2006-07 season even begins as season-ticket sales for the season are at record levels. While sales continue, the availability of additional ticket packages go on sale in the coming weeks, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

A program record 21,274 season tickets have been sold so far for 2006-07, surpassing that of 2005-06 when 19,030 season tickets were sold. For 2006-07, over 9,800 Face-Off Series Tickets (Friday) and over 11,400 Slap-Shot Series Tickets (Saturday) have been sold. The season ticket renewal rate from 2005-06 is 98% for the Face-Off Series and 97% for the Slap-Shot Series.

Almost 1,700 new season tickets have been sold so far this year and season tickets will be available for sale through the first home series against North Dakota on October 13 and 14. Season ticket-holders receive a $4.00 per ticket, per game discount off of regular single game prices.

Season tickets are still available in the 100, 200 and 300 levels of the Kohl Center for the Face-Off Series. For the Slap-Shot Series, season tickets are sold out in the 100 and 200 levels, a first for hockey at the Kohl Center.

Also sold out for the first time on a season ticket basis in 2006-07 is the student section (2,800). A limited number of single game student tickets will be available, beginning Monday, September 25 for 2006 games, and Monday, November 13 for 2007 home games.

In addition to fast-selling season ticket packages, five-game packages and group tickets for the season go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 5 through the Athletic Ticket Office.

There are two five game packages available for fans in 2006-07. The Fan's Choice package allows fans to select any five games on the schedule, and only pay for four, as the package is $72.00 per ticket. ($18.00 per ticket savings) Tickets for this package are located only in Upper Reserved seating sections, which are 300 level sections, row D and above, in the Kohl Center. Fans are not guaranteed the same seats for each game with this package.

The second five game package is the Friday Five Pack. With this package, fans choose from one of two prepackaged sets of games. The RED Friday Five Pack includes Friday night games with North Dakota (10/13), Boston College (10/27), Michigan (11/24), Minnesota State (1/26) and St. Cloud State (2/16). The WHITE Friday Five Pack includes Friday night games with Minnesota-Duluth (10/20), Denver (11/10), Badger Hockey Showdown (12/29), Minnesota (1/12) and Alaska Anchorage (2/9). With either the RED or WHITE Friday Five Pack, fans will receive the same great seat location for all five games, and the tickets are all in reserved seating locations in the 100 level, 200 level and rows A-C of the 300 level. Friday Five Packs are $110.00 per seat.

Group tickets for all 2006 and 2007 games go on-sale Tuesday, September 5. Groups of 15-39 tickets are $16.00 for reserved seats, and $13.00 for upper reserved seats, a 27 percent savings off regular ticket prices. Groups of 40 or more are $11.00 for reserved seats and $9.00 for upper reserved seats, a 50 percent savings off regular ticket prices. Group seating is not available in reserved seating areas for Saturday games, as tickets in those areas are sold out on a season ticket basis. Please note that for the Minnesota series on January 12-13, group tickets are available, but only at the regular single game ticket price of $22 for reserved seats and $18 for upper reserved seats. No group discounts are available for the Minnesota series.

All other single game tickets, including Family Four Packs, go on-sale later in the fall. Single game tickets for all 2006 games will go on-sale Monday, September 25. Single game tickets for all 2007 games will go on-sale Monday, November 13.
