Nate DiCasmirro Senior, Forward, St. Cloud State University

St. Cloud leaped into the top spot in the USCHO.com Poll this weekend on the strength of a pair of convincing wins over North Dakota, and it can thank senior forward Nate DiCasmirro, USCHO's Offensive Player of the Week, for the promotion. DiCasmirro led all scorers this weekend with eight points including a hat trick and an assist on the game-winning goal Saturday night to power the Huskies over the Sioux, 6-1. DiCasmirro showed off his nose for the goal the evening after displaying his touch with the pass. The Burnsville, Minn. native netted four assists on Friday, springing Matt Hendricks twice on the evening, the second time for the game-winner. His offensive outburst did more than put his team at number one, it also put him at the head of the Division I scoring chart. With nine goals and nine assists for the year, DiCasmirro leads Minnesota's John Pohl by one point.

Josh Blackburn
Senior, Goaltender, University of Michigan

Alaska-Fairbanks peppered 63 shots on goal this weekend, but skated away with just one goal due to the goaltending of Michigan senior netminder Josh Blackburn, USCHO's Defensive Player of the Week. Blackburn and his .984 save percentage carried the Wolverines to a weekend sweep over the Nanooks, 2-1 and 4-0. Blackburn had to make 11 saves in the third period Friday night to preserve Michigan's one goal lead. His 36 stops on Saturday gave the senior the 10th shutout of his career, one short of Marty Turco's school record.
