Mankato, Minn. - Men's hockey coach Troy Jutting has announced that seven student-athletes have signed NCAA Letters of Intent to attend Minnesota State University.

Committing to MSU during the NCAA early signing period are defenseman Channing Boe (Bemijdi, Minn./Green Bay (USHL)), goaltender Austin Lee (Bloomington, Minn./Fargo-Moorhead (NAHL)), forward Andrew Sackrison (St. Louis Park, Minn./Tri City (USHL)), forward Mike Louwerse (Champlin Park, Minn./Blake (USHS)), forward Garry Nunn (Victoria, B.C./Victoria (BCHL)), forward Brett Peterson (Elk River, Minn./Indiana (USHL)) and defenseman Ben Youds (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's (prep)).

"We were looking to add some skill with this recruiting class and we think we've done that." said Jutting. "This is a group of kids that can skate and handle the puck. In Ben Youds and Channing Boe we've added some of the defensive pieces we were looking for and in Austin Lee we're adding a solid goaltender. This group really compliments the class we brought in last year in terms of quality and depth."

Channing Boe, D, 6-3, 190, Shoots left, DOB: 07/13/86, Bemidji, Minn., Green Bay (USHL) Two-year USHL veteran currently serves as team captain for Green Bay...Played for Sioux Falls in 2005-06 and the Stampede won the Anderson Cup (regular season title) and were Clark Cup runners-up...Tallied 2-3--5 in 46 regular season games and 1-1--2 in 13 playoff games...Three-year letter winner at Bemidji High School...Team captain senior year and selected for Mariucci All-Conference Team junior and senior years..Played in the Elite League senior year for the North Team....Selected to play on the National Elite Team that won the championship in 2004...Selected to play on the Great 8 Team representing Section 8 A - 8AA. Section 8 won the Great 8 Tournament.

Brett Peterson, F, 6-2, 200, Shoots left, DOB: 04/14/88, Elk River, Minn., Indiana (USHL) Is in first year with Indiana of United States Hockey League where he's put up 2-1--3 in 9 GP...2006 All-State Honorable Mention selection for Elk River (Minn.)
