MADISON, Wisc. - Three Western Collegiate Hockey Association-member teams with a combined record of 29-1-1 (.952) - Minnesota (10-0-1), Denver (8-0-0) and St. Cloud State (11-1-0) - continue their reign as the nation's No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 ranked teams, respectively, in the latest two Division I men's college hockey polls released Nov. 19. Coach Don Lucia's Golden Gophers, who extended their season-opening unbeaten streak to 11 games after a 5-1, 5-3 sweep over Minnesota-Duluth last weekend, are No. 1 in both the USA Hockey/American Hockey Magazine and the USCHO.com polls.
Just behind Minnesota at the No. 2 position are the Denver Pioneers, who also remain unbeaten and are coming off a bye week, and league-leading St. Cloud State at No. 3. The Huskies won twice at Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 16-17, 5-2 and 4-2. Up next for Minnesota are Thanksgiving weekend games at Michigan and Michigan State while DU returns to action against Vermont and UNH at the New Hampshire Tournament. SCSU is idle.
Celebrating it's 50th anniversary season and home to 31 national championship teams since 1951,
the WCHA again has five teams ranked among the nation's top 15 for Nov. 19-25. In addition to No.

9th in the USCHO.com poll and 12th in the USA Today/AHM poll while Colorado College is 13th in
both rankings. Also receiving votes again this week in both polls is Wisconsin (6-4-0 overall).
