MADISON, Wisc. - The three teams atop the Western Collegiate Hockey Association standings - St. Cloud State (15-2-1), Minnesota (12-2-3) and Denver (14-2-0) - continue their run as the nation's No. 1-, No. 2- and No. 3-ranked Div. I men's college hockey teams in this week's (Dec. 17-23) USA Today/American Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls. All three teams earned first place votes and together, the Huskies, Golden Gophers and Pioneers own a combined record of 41-6-4 overall (.843).

Since Minnesota first led the WCHA's charge to the top of the polls back on Oct. 29, those three teams have remained atop the national rankings. Since Oct. 29, the week-by-week rankings of SCSU, UM and DU in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll have been: Oct. 29 - Minnesota (#1), St. Cloud State (#2), Denver (#3), Nov. 5 - St. Cloud State (#1), Minnesota (#2), Denver (#3), Nov. 12 - Minnesota (#1), Denver (#2), St. Cloud State (#3), Nov. 19 - Minnesota (#1), Denver (#2), St. Cloud State (#3), Nov. 26 - Minnesota (#1), St. Cloud State (#2), Denver (#4), Dec. 3 - St. Cloud State (#1), Denver (Tied #2), Minnesota (Tied #2), Dec. 10 - St. Cloud State (#1), Minnesota (#2), Denver (#3), and Dec. 17 - St. Cloud State (#1), Minnesota (#2) and Denver (#3).

Also continuing a season-long run in the national polls this week is Colorado College. The Tigers, who are 7-1-1 over their last nine games, are 10th in both rankings. Two other WCHA clubs - Wisconsin and North Dakota - also again received votes.

Celebrating it's 50th anniversary campaign and home to a record 31 national championship teams since 1951, WCHA teams sport a combined 35-13-2 record in non-conference games so far this season.
