St. Cloud State Gains Three Points, Minnesota Duluth Rallies for Split as Huskies, Bulldogs Now Share First Place; 55,031 Watch Wisconsin Defeat Michigan Outdoors St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth now share the top spot in the men's WCHA heading into the final four weeks of the 2009-10 regular season, after the Huskies took three points from visiting UAA and the Bulldogs rallied for a split at Michigan Tech. In non-conference action over the weekend, Colorado College, Denver and Wisconsin combined for a 5-0-0 mark to boost the league's non-conference mark to 45-22-5 (.660). The Badgers knocked off Michigan outdoors on Saturday in front of 55,031 in the Culver's Camp Randall Hockey Classic.
Michigan Tech Wins Winter Carnival Opener vs Minnesota Duluth Friday; Alaska Anchorage Earns Road Tie at SCSU The Michigan Tech Huskies won for the second time in their past three WCHA games on Feb. 5, taking the opener of their Winter Carnival series vs UMD while visiting Alaska Anchorage skated to a tie at St. Cloud State. In non-conference action, Colorado College and Denver both recorded home-ice victories. On Saturday, it's again UMD at MTU and UAA at SCSU in league play, the Tigers and Pioneers trade opponents, and Wisconsin hosts Michigan outdoors in the Culver's Camp Randall Hockey Classic.
