Minneapolis, Minn. - Sharon Cole's power play goal in overtime lifted No. 3 Wisconsin to a 3-2 win over No. 2 Minnesota Duluth in the first semifinal at the 2005 WCHA Women's Playoff Championship.

Minnesota Duluth took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Rachael Drazen at 7:10 of the first period. The Badgers evened the score just 15 seconds into the second period on a goal from Jackie Friesen. Nora Tallus put the Bulldogs back ahead on her goal at 4:07 of the second. Wisconsin knotted the score with Heidi Kletzien's goal at 13:32 of the second. A scoreless third period forced the overtime where Cole lit the lamp at 2:34 into the period.

Wisconsin's Meghan Horras made 17 saves while Minnesota Duluth's Riitta Schaublin had 25.

Wisconsin will meet the winner of the second semifinal game between No. 1 Minnesota and No. 4 Ohio State at 4 p.m. Minnesota Duluth will meet the loser in the third place game at 1 p.m.
