Minneapolis, Minn. - Minnesota made the most of their power play as they defeated Wisconsin 3-2 in overtime to claim their second-straight WCHA Women's Playoff Championship.

After a scoreless first period, Minnesota's Natalie Darwitz tallied at 19:55 of the second period to give Minnesota the lead heading into the intermission. Krissy Wendell and Lyndsay Wall added the assists. The Gophers extended their lead on Bobbi Ross's power play goal at 5:26 of the third period. Wall and Darwitz had the assists. Wisconsin pulled goaltender Meghan Horras with less than a minute to go in the period. With the extra attacker, Carla MacLeod put the Badgers on the board at 19:10. Meaghan Mikkelson and Sara Bauer added the assists. Twenty six seconds to go, MacLeod scored again to tie the game and push it to overtime. In the overtime period, Minnesota needed just 19 seconds to tally the game winner as Wendell converted on a pass from Darwitz and Kelly Stephens.

Goaltender Jody Horak made 21 saves in the win while Horras had 22.
