MADISON, Wis. - The race for the 2003 WCHA Women's Final Five is in full swing with two Western Collegiate Hockey Association series this weekend.

St. Cloud State makes its annual visit to Bemidji State, pitting the fifth and sixth-place teams. The Beavers currently hold a three-point cushion over the Huskies for the fifth and final spot in the upcoming League tournament. Bemidji State can climb into third place with a sweep, over third-place Wisconsin and fourth-place Ohio State, both of whom play non-Conference games.

Minnesota State, four points behind the Beavers, also has its sights set on fifth-place.The Mavericks play host to League-leader Minnesota-Duluth this weekend. MSU is in the midst of a school-record six-game unbeaten streak.

Wisconsin, fresh off handing UMD its first Conference loss of the season, plays host to New Hampshire in a series with more NCAA implications than WCHA. The Badgers have just one loss in their last 11 games.

Ohio State welcomes top-10 Mercyhurst to Columbus, Ohio before visiting Findlay in the annual game for the Ohio Cup. The Buckeyes split at St. Cloud State last weekend to keep its tenuous one-point advantage for fourth place.

Minnesota, which split last week's trip to Dartmouth and New Hampshire, is off from action.
