OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Amanda Osborn, F, Minnesota State

Amanda Osborn recorded three points to help Minnesota State to a road sweep at Wayne State and extend the team's school-record unbeaten streak to six games. For her efforts, she has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's Offensive Player of the Week.

The Briar, Wash., native set up the game-winning score with under two minutes to play in the Mavericks 2-1 victory last Friday. She took one shot and was plus-1 in the contest.

She then set up the go-ahead goal in MSU's 5-3 win on Saturday and scored the insurance empty-net score to close out the Warriors. The junior also took four shots and was plus-1 in the game.

With the points, Osborn became the first Maverick to reach double figures in both goals and assists in a season since 1999-2000. She has 20 points on 10 goals and 10 assists this season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Laura Gieselman, G, St. Cloud State

Laura Gieselman stopped 54 of 56 shots in St. Cloud State's home split with Ohio State to earn Western Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week.

The Annandale, Minn., native made 22 saves in last Saturday's series-opening 1-0 loss to the Buckeyes. She helped keep the OSU power-play unit scoreless on three opportunities and was named the game's third star.

The senior returned to the net on Sunday and was named first star after stopping 32 shots in the Huskies 2-1 victory over their guests.

For the weekend, Gieselman posted a .964 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average. This season, Gieselman is 4-9-3 with a .906 save percentage and 3.23 goals-against average.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Krissy Wendell, F, Minnesota

Krissy Wendell collected four points in Minnesota's victory over New Hampshire and loss to Dartmouth to earn the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week.

The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native scored an unassisted power-play goal and recorded a power-play assist in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Big Green.

The frosh then repeated the one power-play goal, one power-play assist in the Gophers 4-0 shutout of New Hampshire. She fired six shots in the victory.

Wendell re-gained the team lead in scoring with 46 points and 21 goals in 19 games played. The 46 points is tops among rookies, nationally.
