MADISON, Wis. – The Western Collegiate Hockey Association today (Feb. 4) endorsed the one-game suspension Bemidji State University has imposed on sophomore forward Hayley Williams as a result of a spearing incident that occurred in a game at St. Cloud State, on Jan. 30.

“The WCHA fully concurs with the one-game suspension handed down today by Bemidji State University,” said WCHA Associate Commissioner Sara Martin. “We appreciate the University’s initiative on this matter and their pro-active approach in creating a learning experience out of a difficult circumstance.”

Williams will serve her suspension during the Beavers' upcoming Saturday, Feb. 6th game vs Wisconsin.
