Offensive Player of the Week

Jenny Potter, Minnesota Duluth

Potter, a senior forward from Edina, Minn., earns Player of the Week honors for the second straight week after posting 12 points in the Bulldogs' series sweep of Bemidji State.

In Friday's 8-0 win, Potter had a hand in seven of the Bulldogs' eight goals. Potter recorded her second hattrick of the season. In the process, she garnered two short handed goals on the same penalty kill. She also added four assists and posted a +7 rating for the day.

Saturday, Potter dished out assists on five of the Bulldogs' six goals in their 6-0 victory. Two of the assists came on the power play.

With her performance Friday, Potter set the school record for career points with 240 in just three years at Minnesota Duluth.

Defensive Player of the Week

Megan Horras, Wisconsin

Horras, a sophomore goalkeeper from Appleton, Wis., collected 56 saves in a road split with Minnesota. Friday, Horras stopped 20 of the 21 Gopher shots she faced to earn the 2-1 overtime victory. Saturday, she made 36 saves and held Minnesota scoreless on two power play chances but lost a close contest 2-1.

For the weekend, Horras posted a .949 save percentage and a 1.47 goals against average. She leads the nation's goaltenders with a 1.23 goals against average.

Rookie of the Week

Jessica Koizumi, Minnesota Duluth Koizumi, a freshman from Simi Valley, Calif., ended the weekend with six points as the Bulldogs earned the series sweep against Bemidji State.

Friday, Koizumi scored the game-winning goal and added an assist before leaving the game with an injury. Koizumi was back in the lineup Saturday and scored four goals to record her second hattrick of the season. She also tallied the game-winning goal for the second straight night. She ended the weekend with a +5 rating.
