MADISON, Wis. - With two weeks remaining in the 2002-03 season, four teams have earned their spots in the 2003 WCHA Women's Final Five, to be held March 6-8 in Grand Forks, N.D.

Ohio State became the fourth team when it took a pair of one-goal games from Minnesota State last weekend. Minnesota-Duluth, Minnesota and Wisconsin had already earned spots.

Minnesota-Duluth inched closer to the regular-season League title when it split with Minnesota last weekend. The Bulldogs sit six points up on the Gophers, with the Gophers having four games left on their schedule. UMD needs two points when it travels to Bemidji State this weekend grab its first regular-season title since the 1999-00 campaign. The Bulldogs hold the first tie-break with the Gophers, holding a 3-1-0 edge in the season series.

The Beavers need at least one point against UMD to clinch the final tournament spot. The Beavers sit eight points ahead of Minnesota State with the Mavericks having four games remaining. Should the teams tie for fifth, Minnesota State would earn the fifth seed for the tournament by virtue of a greater WCHA-wins total.

At least one point by Minnesota this weekend against Minnesota State would lock Wisconsin into the tournament's third seed. The Badgers visit Ohio State this week after sweeping St. Cloud State last weekend.

In non-Conference play, the Huskies travel to face Wayne State.
