Offensive Player of the Week
Erica McKenzie, Minnesota

McKenzie, a sophomore forward from Hastings, Minn., tallied seven points to lead the Gophers in a series sweep over No. 9 St. Cloud State this past weekend. McKenzie scored the game-winning goal in Friday's game and tallied two assists as the Gophers posted a 3-2 victory. One of her assists came on the goal that tied the game at 2-2. Friday's goal marked the seventh game-winner of the season for McKenzie, who leads the nation in that category. She followed with a hat trick in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Huskies in Minneapolis. McKenzie scored three goals and assisted on the power-play, game-winning goal Saturday. It was the third hat trick of the season for McKenzie.

Defensive Player of the Week Erika Vanderveer, Ohio State

Vanderveeer, a junior goaltender from Bradford, Ontario, backstopped the Buckeyes to a sweep at North Dakota, stopping 69 of 72 shots faced in the series. She saved all 34 shots Sunday for her third shutout this season and sixth of her career as the Buckeyes' posted a 2-0 win. All three of her shutouts this year have been on the road (at Northeastern, Oct. 14; at Minnesota State, Jan. 6). Saturday, Vanderveer had 35 saves in Ohio State's 4-3 overtime win. With the 35 saves Saturday and 34 saves Sunday, she has now made 30 or more saves in a game seven times this season. Vanderveer also picked up her first point of the season when she was awarded the second assist on the first goal Sunday. During the second half of the season in 10 starts, Vanderveer has made 274 saves with 19 goals allowed for a 1.84 GAA and .935 save percentage and two shutouts.

Rookie of the Week
Gigi Marvin, Minnesota

Marvin, a freshman forward from Warroad, Minn., tallied a goal and three assists in the Gophers' sweep over SCSU last weekend. In Friday's 3-2 win, Marvin had a hand in all of the scoring as she scored the Gophers' first goal of the weekend on Friday and assisted on the Gophers' other two goals. Saturday, she followed with an assist on Erica McKenzie's first goal of the game Saturday to tie the game at 1-1.
