Offensive Player of the Week
Karen Rickard, Wisconsin

Rickard, a senior right wing from Bowmanville, Ontario, led Wisconsin to a two-game road sweep of Ohio State with three goals and two assists for five points in the two games. In the Badgers' 5-1 win Friday, Rickard scored two goals and added an assist on the game-winning goal. On Saturday, Rickard scored a goal and again assisted on the game-winning goal as Wisconsin earned an 8-2 win. For the weekend, Rickard finished with a +5 rating.

Defensive Player of the Week
Jody Horak, Minnesota

Horak, a junior goaltender from Blaine, Minn., backstopped the Gophers to two victories against Minnesota Duluth in 80 minutes of action. In the first game, Horak made 31 saves en route to a 4-2 victory. Both of the goals she allowed were on the power play, including a four-on-three. She then played the third period of the second game to earn her second win of the weekend. Horak entered the game with the score tied 5-5 and stopped all eight shots faced. Horak finished the weekend with a 1.50 goals against average and a .951 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Becky Wacker, Minnesota

Wacker, a freshman forward from York, Maine, scored two goals and added an assist in the Gophers' series sweep of Minnesota Duluth. Saturday, Wacker had an assist in Minnesota?s 4-2 win. Sunday, Wacker scored two goals as the Gophers completed the sweep with a 7-5 victory. She finished the weekend with three points and a +3 rating.
