MADISON, Wisc. - Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Associate Commissioner Sara Martin has announced the WCHA will produce a Webcast of the 2005 WCHA Women's Playoff Championship title game Sunday, March 6.
Fans will be able to view a free live broadcast of the championship game via the WCHA's Website at www.wcha.com. The game starts at 4:05 p.m.
KMSP-TV's Jim Rich will handle the play-by-play while former University of Wisconsin head coach Jeff Sauer will provide the color commentary.
The broadcast is being produced by the WCHA with technical production provided Comcast Spotlight. The stream will be available in RealMedia format and will require fans to use the free RealPlayer. The RealPlayer can be downloaded from www.real.com. To access the broadcast, fans' computers must meet the following system requirements:

The 2005 WCHA Playoff Championship will be held Thursday through Sunday, March 3-6, at Ridder Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The four-day championship features all eight conference-member teams in Bemidji State, Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State, North Dakota, Ohio State, St. Cloud State and Wisconsin. Play starts Thursday, March 3 with No. 7 North Dakota taking on No. 2 Minnesota Duluth at 4:05 p.m. followed by No. 1 Minnesota facing No. 8 Bemidji State at 7:05 p.m. Friday's quarterfinal match-ups feature No. 3 Wisconsin and No. 6 St. Cloud State at 4:05 p.m. and No. 4 Ohio State taking on No. 5 Minnesota State at 7:05 p.m. The semifinals will be played Saturday, March 5 at 4:05 and 7:05 p.m. Sunday, March 6 the Third-place Game will be played at 1:05 p.m. followed by the Championship Game at 4:05 p.m. All times are Central.
