Minneapolis, Minn. -- No. 3 Wisconsin needed a third period comeback to post a 3-1 win over No. 6 St. Cloud State in the quarterfinals of the WCHA Women's Playoff Championship. Wisconsin will face No. 2 Minnesota Duluth in Saturday's first semifinal game at 4 p.m..

St. Cloud State opened the scoring at the 13:56 mark of the first period as Laura Fast scored on an unassisted breakaway. St. Cloud State held the Badgers at bay throughout the first two periods as goaltender Lauri St. Jacques made 23 saves.

Wisconsin's Jinelle Zaugg tied the score at 1-1 with an unassisted goal at 2:41 of the third period. Lindsay Macy then scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal with a power play tally at 14:23. Sara Bauer and Sharon Cole added the assists. Carla MacLeod iced the win with an empty net goal at 19:29.

The Badgers' Christine Dufour had 13 saves in the win. St. Jacques finished the game with 34.

St. Cloud State closes out the season with a 9-22-4 overall mark while Wisconsin moves to 27-7-1 on the year.
