Minneapolis, Minn. - No. 4 Ohio State rounds out the semifinal bracket of the WCHA Women's Playoff Championship as they posted a 4-1 win over No. 5 Minnesota State.

Jeni Creary opened the scoring for the Buckeyes as she lit the lamp at 11:17 of the first period. Tessa Bonhomme and Jana Harrigan had the assists. Ohio State extended its lead to 2-0 as Krysta Skarda scored at 14:09. Bonhomme and Jody Heywood were credited with the assists. Minnesota State closed the gap as Kerri Wallace had an unassisted goal at 10:52 of the third period. Creary added her second of the night at 14:07 and Amber Bowman scored an insurance goal on the power play at 19:29 to make the final score 4-1.

Ohio State's Erika Vanderveer made 27 saves to earn the victory. The Mavericks' Brit Kehler had 28 on the night.

Minnesota State ends the season 9-20-6 while Ohio State takes a 17-15-3 record into tomorrow's semifinal game with Minnesota. Game time is 7 p.m.
