GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Jeni Creary scored two goals, including the game-winner at 19:11 of overtime, to lead fourth-seed Ohio State to a 4-3 victory over fifth-seed Bemidji State in the longest-ever WCHA women's contest Ralph Engelstad Arena.

It took just 19 seconds for Ohio State to climb on top when frosh Jana Harrigan skated out from behind the goal and beat Bemidji State junior netminder Anik Cote with a shot. Harrigan's 12th goal of the season was unassisted.

Ohio State used momentum from the goal to dominate the first five minutes of the contest. The Buckeyes took the first five shots of the contest before taking a penalty for too many skaters on the ice at 6:17.

The Beavers failed to score with the player advantage, but evened the game at 17:46 when Caesare Stimson notched her seventh goal of the season. Amber Fryklund and Lill Raynard assisted the goal.

BSU grabbed the lead 1:04 later, at 18:50, when Fryklund scored. Raynard and Stimson set up Fryklund's team-leading 16th score of the season.

Raynard scored for the second time in the contest at 8:05 of the second period, deflecting Jenny Schnickel's point shot, for a 3-1 Beaver lead. Fyklund was credited with the second assist on the power-play goal.

Ohio State's Jeni Creary scored on a rebound at 18:47 of the period to bring the Buckeyes back to within a goal. The sophomore's 21st of the season made it a 3-2 game.

OSU climbed all the way back at 36 seconds of the third period on Meghan Mulvaney's unassisted score. The goal was her seventh of the season.

The game finished tied at the end of regulation, but Ohio State's Katie Sershen took a tripping penalty at 20 minutes, putting the Beavers on a power play at the start of overtime.

The Buckeyes killed the penalty and dominated overtime, outshooting the Beavers, 12-1. At 19:11, OSU finally ended it when Creary converted Mulvaney's rebound for the game-winning score. Jennifer Desson also assisted the play.

Senior April Stojak made 21 saves and improved to 9-13-2. Anik Cote stopped 40 shots, but fell to 5-11-2.

Ohio State (12-20-3) advances to play top-seeded Minnesota-Duluth, tomorrow in the semifinals. The Buckeyes and Bullogs meet at 7:05 p.m. at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
