Former University of Minnesota goaltender Erica Killewald (Troy, Mich./ Troy) is recovering at home in Troy, Mich., after brain surgery on June 6 to remove a tumor. Killewald was released from the hospital last Saturday and will undergo further testing to determine the treatment of her condition.

Tests have determined that the tumor was not malignant. Surgeons did not remove the entire tumor during the initial surgery. Additional testing, and possibly more surgery, will be factors in future treatments. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
