MADISON, Wis. - A team comprised of 20 of the best players in the WCHA takes to the ice Friday and Saturday against the 2001 U.S. Women's National Team. The WCHA All-Stars face off at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis., on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7:05 p.m. The teams skate again in St. Paul, Minn., at the Excel Energy Center on Saturday, Oct. at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
Cammi Granato, Karyn Bye and 12 other members of the 1998 Olympic gold medalists will skate for the national team, as will Minnesota-Duluth's Jenny Potter, Minnesota's Courtney Kennedy and Wisconsin's Nicole Uliasz.
Coaching the national team is Ben Smith, while former Badger head coach Julie Sasner helps direct the team as the assistant coach.
