MADISON, Wis. - Bemidji State and Wisconsin each earned three of four points in conference action at home and on the road, respectively, last weekend.

The Beavers played host to St. Cloud State, defeating the Huskies and scoring four third-period goals to gain a tie and three points. Wisconsin took three of four from host Ohio State to grab a two-point edge for the top spot in league standings.

Minnesota State earned its first two wins of the young season with a series sweep of Wayne State. The Mavericks now look for their first conference wins of the season when the Beavers visit this weekend.

In other non-conference play, Minnesota scored a short-handed overtime tally for its road victory at Mercyhurst. The Gophers then fell at Niagara, 2-1.

In addition to Minnesota State and Bemidji State facing off, Wisconsin plays host to defending NCAA champion Minnesota-Duluth in upcoming action. Ohio State also travels to Minneapolis to face Minnesota in the league's other weekend series. St. Cloud State has the week off.
