BADGER RANKINGS: The Badgers climbed to their highest ranking to date when the 10 NCAA Division I coaches taking part in the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll voted Wisconsin No. 5 in the country this week. Wisconsin garnered 52 points after defeating then-No. 5 Harvard and falling to then-No. 4 Brown. Dartmouth is the unanimous No. 1, with Brown now ranked No. 2 in the country. Minnesota dropped from No. 2 to a share of No. 3 with Minnesota-Duluth.
The Badgers rank No. 6 in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll released last week.

Hunter had her goal-scoring string snapped at six games , but extended her point-scoring string to eight games with her 12th goal of the season against then-No. 4 Brown.
With three points over the weekend, Hunter now leads the WCHA and the country in goals (12), power-play goals (5), and freshman scoring (12-6=18), and ranks second in points (18) and power-play points (5-2=7). In strictly WCHA contests, she shares the lead in goals (8) and power-play goals (4), ranks second in frosh scoring (8-4=12), fourth in overall points (12) and shares fourth in power-play points (4-1=5).
A POINT A DAY: Sophomore Kendra Antony (Yorkton, Sask.) had an assist in each game during the Badgers' two-game tour of the ECAC this past weekend, extending her scoring streak to eight games. Antony set up Kerry Weiland's power-play goal to open the scoring against Harvard. She set up Meghan Hunter's goal against Brown on Sunday to up her team-leading assist total to nine.
The Badgers' top scorer as a frosh, Antony ranks second on the squad and shares fifth in the conference with 14 points. The wing ranks third in the conference with nine assists and shares seventh with five goals.
POINT! WISCONSIN: Totalling a goal and three assists against No. 5 Harvard and No. 4 Brown over the weekend, defenseman Kerry Weiland (Palmer, Alaska) led all Badgers in scoring. The sophomore scored the opening goal in the Badgers' 3-1 win over Harvard, while assisting on the game-winner and the insurance marker. On Sunday against Brown, Weiland set up the UW's third goal of the contest.
Weiland climbed to a share of second in scoring among WCHA defenders with 10 points and a share of fourth overall with eight assists. She also shares third with six points on the power-play.
PUMP UP THE VOLUME: After registering just two assists in the Badgers' first six games, the UW's leading goal scorer from 1999-00 notched two goals and an assist for Wisconsin over the weekend. Kelly Kegley (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) tallied the game-winning goal with a power-play tally during the second period against then-No. 5 Harvard. Kegley deflected a point shot past the Harvard goaltender for the score.

Kerry Weiland kept the streak in tact when she tallied 15:43 into the first period against Harvard last Saturday. Karen Rickard (Bowmanville, Ont.) became the fifth Badger to score first with a goal 13 seconds into the UW's game at Brown on Sunday. Kendra Antony scored the first goal in both games this against St. Cloud State on Oct. 27 and 28.
