Mankato, Minn. - Women's hockey coach Jeff Vizenor has announced that three student-athletes have signed NCAA Letters of Intent to attend Minnesota State University.

Committing to MSU during the NCAA early signing period are defensemen Ashley Bliskowski (St. Francis, Minn., St. Francis High School), Kristi Ellis (Rogers, Minn., Elk River High School) and Amy Udvig (New Brighton, Minn., Irondale High School).

"We are excited to add these three quality people to our hockey program at Minnesota State," said Vizenor. "We will look for these student-athletes to bring athleticism, competitiveness, and character to the Mavericks. We look forward to them becoming a part of MSU athletics."

Vizenor added that he expected an commitment from a forward early next week.

Ashley Bliskowski, Defense, Shoots right, DOB: 02/27/89, St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis HS Four-year member of St. Francis High School girls hockey team...Totalled
12-16--29 in 25 games as a junior...Team captain, named all-conference and earned team Best Hustle Award in 2005-06...Had 18-8--26 in 24 GP as a sophomore...Team captain and all-conference honorable mention in 2004-05...High school Rookie of the Year after charting 5-12--17 in 22 games as a freshman.

Kristi Ellis, Defense, Shoots right, DOB: 02/27/89, Rogers, Minn./Elk River HS In fourth season as a member of Elk River High School varsity...Team captain this year...All-State honorable mention as a junior...Garnered all-conference and voted team Most Dedicated in 2005-06...Also all-conference and team Most Dedicated as a sophomore in 2004-05...Team captured 2003-04 state championship and was named all-conference honorable mention...Team Rookie of the Year as an eighth-grader in 2002-03 as Elk River captured state consolation title...Also a two-year member of the Elks varsity volleyball team.

Named to USAH Select 17 & 18 camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. in summer of 2006...In fourth year as a member of Irondale High School varsity...Two-team captain for Knights...Led team in assists and plus-minus and totalled 6-14--20 as a junior...Named all-conference in 2005-06 as Irondale posted 15-11-0 mark and established school record for wins in a season...All-conference honorable mention as a sophomore and garnered team Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman in 2003-04...Also a four-year member of the Irondale soccer team.
