  • Ohio State Splits with Northeastern

MADISON, Wis. - In the only conference series of the Thanksgiving weekend, Minnesota kept its hold on first place with a win and a tie at second-place Wisconsin. Heading into the series, the Gophers led the Badgers by a single point. Minnesota earned two points with its 5-2 win over Wisconsin on Friday. The Badgers salvaged a point in the series with a 4-4 tie Saturday.

Ohio State traveled to Boston for the weekend where it split with Northeastern in a non-conference series. The Buckeyes claimed victory in the series opener with a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday. The Huskies rebounded to shutout Ohio State with a 3-0 win Sunday.

St. Cloud State was the only other conference team in action during the week. The Huskies handled visiting Sacred Heart, 5-0.

Four teams reach the halfway mark of conference play this weekend including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Minnesota-Duluth and Minnesota State, Mankato. Minnesota guaranteed itself first place at midseason when it won and tied Wisconsin.
