CANTON, N.Y.-The Ohio State women's ice hockey team fell to St. Lawrence, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Appleton Arena. With the loss, the Buckeyes slip to 6-10-2 overall and 4-6-2 in the WCHA. The Saints improve to 8-3-2 on the season and 6-1-1 in the ECAC.

The two teams skated to a scoreless first stanza with the Buckeyes outshooting the Saints, 7-6.

At 4:41 in the second, Chera Marshall tallied the Saints' first goal, her first of the season. Stacy Boudrias extended SLU's lead to two at 8:47 from Marshall and Gina Kingsbury. With 1:59 remaining in the period, OSU's Corinne Rosen put the Buckeyes on the board with her seventh goal of the season. Emma Laaksonen fired a shot on net and Melissa Pirie picked up the rebound and passed the puck to Rosen who slipped it past SLU goalie Rachel Barrie.

Caroline Trudeau put the Saints ahead, 3-1, with an unassisted power-play goal at 6:37 in the third stanza. Trudeau struck again less than three minutes later with her fifth goal of the season and second of the game from Nicole Kirnan and Trisha Powers. With nine seconds to go in the game on a 4-on-4 situation, Emily Hudak notched her first goal of the season from Rosen and Lindsey Ogren, but it would not be enough for the Buckeyes.

OSU was unable to convert on six power-play opportunites against an SLU squad which is 93 percent on the penalty kill so far this season. The Buckeyes held the Saints to one goal on six power-play opportunites.

The Buckeyes outshot SLU, 31-30, and Stojak recorded 26 saves in the losing effort. SLU's Barrie stopped 29 Buckeye shots.
