This marks the second straight time Tikkinen has earned the league's weekly offensive honor.

A senior from Salo, Finland, Tikkinen tallied two goals and one assist for three points in last Friday's (Nov. 12) 5-3 victory over the host Buckeyes in Columbus. She tied the game at 2-2 in the second period and then again at 3-3 in the third on an unassisted tally, while her assist came on rookie forward Kathleen Rogan's final score of the contest, sealing the win. Then last Saturday (Nov. 13), Tikkinen scored a shorthanded goal to put Minnesota State up 3-0 late in the first period, and broke a 3-3 tie with a game-winning goal with only 3:45 left to give the Mavericks a 4-3 victory and a four-game winning streak.

In addition to her five points in the series, Tikkinen also fired seven shots on goal and earned a +4 plus/minus rating. It also marked her second straight five-point weekend and she now has 11 points (5g, 6a) in 12 games this season.

Also nominated for the award this week was: Erin Cody, F, BSU.
