Audrey Cournoyer had a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs

Minnesota State (6-14-0, 2-12-0 WCHA) fell to No. 9 Minnesota Duluth (11-8-1, 8-7-1 WCHA) 3-0 Saturday afternoon to complete the Bulldog sweep at All Seasons Arena.

UMD used two first period goals by Zoe Hickel and Jenna McParland to jump out to a 2-0 lead on its 11 shots in the period, compared to the Mavericks seven.

In a game where MSU was outshot 35-15, the Mavericks struggled to find shots in the second period as they were outshot 10-3 in the scoreless period. Minnesota State senior goaltender Alli Altmann finished with 32 saves in the contest. Minnesota Duluth's Jennifer Harss got the win, making 10 saves in the net before Lana Steck played the final eight minutes of the game between the pipes.

UMD's leading scorer, Audrey Cournoyer, scored the final goal of the game as she tapped a 2-on-1 in on a pass from Jessica Wong at 5:48 of the third period. Cournoyer finished with a goal and an assist.

The Mavericks take a couple weeks off before they return to action at Bemidji State Jan. 7 at 7:07 p.m.
