ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Junior goaltender Kayla Black made 18 saves and senior forward Brienna Gillanders scored the game-winning goal to lead Minnesota Duluth to a 1-0 win against St. Cloud State on Saturday at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

The lone goal of the game was scored when the Bulldogs sent the puck past SCSU's junior goaltender, Katie Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald stood strong between the pipes for the 5th time this season. She was tested with 29 shots in 60 minutes of play and helped guide her team back from Friday night's 6-1 loss.

After a year of absence from the game, freshman defender, Emma Turbyville, made her collegiate debut and came out even to help her team defend the blue line. St. Cloud's defense have played an important role this season, not only defensively but offensively as well, having 6 combined goals and 12 combined assist to total 18 points thus far.

St. Cloud returns home for a conference series against the University of Wisconsin on Nov. 21-22. Tickets can be purchased at: https://tkt.xosn.com/tickets/TicketLanding.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=28600 or at the gate.
